Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is one of the wonders of the world, and a UNESCO Heritage site. Angkor Wat is however but one one of the ancient temples in the old city of Angkor. There are MANY temples to visit. Take it slow, drink it all in. It may take a few days, but it is an experience of a lifetime.

We have a network of good guides to help you make the most of it, then go a second time without a guide to see the sun set or sun rise of the main temples--astounding!

You Will Make a Difference

The extreme Maoist Khmer Rouge were defeated by Vietnam in the 90's, Cambodia was finally liberated. However, their spree of devastation left the country in the worst state imaginable. Nothing in modern history compares to this. Only 500 Cambodians who survived had some form of education. Two million people died in the genocide—mostly educated people.

Additionally, all infrastructure was purposely destroyed—banks, money, museums, books, libraries, museums, monuments, history, factories, hydro plants, telephone, schools and universities.

How do you rebuild a country when people cannot read or write, there are no teachers, no books from which to learn, no doctors, hospitals, engineers, police, skilled trades... This community is doing a darn fine job at reinventing itself, but it is the likes of you, and the Cambodian smile and beauty of heart that makes it possible. You have NO idea how important your contribution is, but come see for yourself—they are lovely people.
